Steelers Interested in Signing Broncos OC

PITTSBURGH – – The Pittsburgh Steelers have a new quarterback in town with Russell Wilson having agreed to a one-year deal and they will try to fill a need with a face familiar to Wilson.

Steelers Interested in Signing Broncos OC

The Steelers have expressed interest in signing Broncos center Lloyd Cushenberry, according to a report from uStadium. Pittsburgh has a void on the interior of the offensive line after releasing starting center Mason Cole.

Cushenberry, a former 3rd round pick out of LSU in 2020, has started all 57 games he’s been active for since joining the Broncos. He’s committed just two fumbles in his career, both of which came during his rookie season.

Cushenberry was Wilson’s starting center for the past two years, but he played just 8 games during Wilson’s first year in Denver.

He’d figure to be a plug-and-play option for the Steelers right away, with Nate Herbig and James Daniels being top options for the Steelers at center as the roster stands right now.

OverTheCap.com projects that Cushenberry’s market value is $10.23 million for the coming season. He reached the end of his rookie deal this season.
