The Pittsburgh Steelers had an exciting week at the quarterback position. On Sunday, they signed Russell Wilson to a one-year deal, traded Kenny Pickett to the Eagles on Friday, and traded for the Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields on Saturday.

Pickett went to Instagram on Sunday to post his goodbye to the city where he played college football and first two seasons in the NFL.
Pickett Says Goodbye
The 25-year-old quarterback posted a picture of him running out of the tunnel in a Steelers jersey with the caption, “Thank You, Pittsburgh! I came to this city 7 years ago and my life changed forever. Grateful for all of the amazing people I was fortunate enough to cross paths with, and for all those people who supported me along the way. I made life-long friendships and relationships that I will always cherish. Now, I am honored and excited for the next opportunity in my career able to play for the team that helped me find my love for the game as a kid. Go Birds.”
Pickett Needed A New Start
Pickett grew up an Eagles fan in New Jersey and now gets to play for the team he grew up loving. Pickett will be Jalen Hurt’s backup quarterback, and he will only see the field if something were to happen to Hurts since he is the starter with, no question.
Pickett needed a fresh start, and it is good that he is getting it with the team he rooted for growing up.
