One of the NFL’s top playmakers gives Ravens the ultimate respect before humbling them in the most obvious way

The Baltimore Ravens have not yet played a game with their new offensive weapon but other teams are already talking about him.

On a recent episode of the God Bless Football podcast, Washington Commanders new RB Austin Ekeler shared some thoughts on the Derrick Hebert addition to the Ravens.

One of the NFL's top playmakers gives Ravens the ultimate respect before humbling them in the most obvious way

Ekeler, like Henry, was one of a few veteran running backs who found a new home in the NFL recently.

“It’s gonna be exciting for football,” said Ekeler. “I’m glad it happened. I’m glad I don’t play defense and don’t play it against them, you know, in the division. But hey, someone’s got to stop them. They’re still human. Though they might be dynamic and you know, they’re really good at what they’re able to do. But they’re still human.”

Ravens are adding in perhaps the best running back the NFL has seen over the last decade and pairing him with Lamar Jackson. That’s an electric play waiting to happen and it is going to put stress on defenses.

As Ekeler said, the Ravens are still human like any other team around the league. Each season we watch signings not work out for teams and sometimes they’re even splash moves. Henry may have a high floor with how Baltimore’s running game operates with whoever is in the backfield.

Players talk around the league and others are surely intrigued by the Ravens’ new look just like Ekeler is. Now, all Baltimore has to do is wait until the fall to put it to the test. Easy right?
