Warriors Star Listed on Injury Report vs Nuggets

For a third straight game, Golden State Warriors star Andrew Wiggins is listed on the injury report with an illness. On Christmas Day against the Nuggets, Wiggins is currently listed as questionable with his illness.

It’s worth noting that Wiggins has been downgraded as out at the very last second for the last two Warriors games.

In the case of Andrew Wiggins, it’s been a giant elephant in the room for the Golden State Warriors. The team has been performing phenomenally better since Brandin Podziemski began starting in place of Wiggins. However, Andrew Wiggins has already made it very clear that he wants to work toward getting back into the starting lineup and out of the “doghouse.” While it’s great that Wiggins is willing to come off the bench, that means the Golden State Warriors are paying $109 million for a bench player.

As the season has progressed, the Warriors have definitely found themselves in the middle of a rock and a hard place between younger players and older players. The more they’ve played Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, the more they’ve lost. Conversely, the more they’ve played Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga, the more they’ve won. All of the team’s money, however, is capped toward Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins.
Regardless of the elephant in the room, the Warriors will need the help of Andrew Wiggins to defeat the defending champion Nuggets on Christmas Day.
