This New York Giants Receiver Has Been Amazing With 7 Different Quarterbacks

The New York Giants have not had the best season to say the least, after making the playoffs last year they have struggled all year with injury and have had three different starting quarterbacks through the year. However, there has been a highlight for their team at the receiver position who has done nothing but ball after being selected in the 5th round.

In their past game, losing to the Los Angeles Rams by a point, Darius Slayton recorded another great game finishing with 4 catches for 106 yards and a touchdown. The week before that in a showdown with NFC East division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, Slayton finished with 3 catches for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Slayton was a part of a bad Giants passing game last year and he will look to become a versatile weapon for Daniel Jones.
Slayton has been perhaps the only stable piece the Giants have had since he’s been drafted and will probably end this year as the teams number 1 wide receiver again as a 5th round pick. While he has not had a special season by any means necessary, it is still impressive to be playing the way he is with his team starting a different quarterback every other week.

The New York Giants Turnover Has Been Insane

In Slayton’s short career he has had nothing but turnover every single year and sometimes tons of times within the same year, and has done very well given those circumstances. Slayton goes back to a Giants team that had Eli Manning as the starter. To make the story even crazier, the Giants almost cut Slayton in 2022.

In Slayton’s career with the Giants, he has played with 7 different quarterbacks, 4 offensive coordinators, 3 head coaches, and receivers and tight ends coming in and out of the lineup. You can say what you want about the player but we have to give credit where it’s due, and he has faced quite a turmoil in New York and even with all of that he continues to play well.

While the Giants have had a season to forget with so many injuries and turnover this year Slayton’s play deserves him to continue to get paid for when the will have some stability.
