Eagles: NFL fans want Nick Sirianni gone after brutal Week 18 game vs. Giants

In his second season as head coach, Nick Sirianni took the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl. He already has his team in the playoffs for the third time in three seasons. But plenty of Eagles fans think time’s up for Sirianni already after a disastrous Week 18 outing against the rival New York Giants.

Sirianni’s Eagles raced out to a 10-1 start to the 2023 season. But a 1-5 record down the stretch has created plenty of doubts within a passionate and expressive fan base. A 27-10 loss to the Giants to cap the regular season did not help matters.

There are some that doubt that Sirianni can get this team to Super Bowl LVIII. Others don’t even want to give him the chance to do so after an embarrassing outing at MetLife Stadium.

Sirianni sunk already?
One on-air Philadelphia radio host took to X (formerly Twitter) to assert that “keeping Sirianni might not even be a choice at this point” because of how poorly the team has performed during the season’s second half.

“This team has fallen off a cliff more than any can ever remember. Legitimately might be the worst team in football right now.”

One Eagles focused reporter left no room for ambiguity, stating that “Nick Sirianni should absolutely be on the hot seat.”

A user on X predicted Sirianni’s firing in between the regular season and the playoffs, using a helpful reaction video in his post.

Some Eagles fans brought receipts, pinpointing games that illustrated to them that Sirianni was not the man for the job, with the word “cooked” being thrown around regarding the coach’s status with Philly.

A 34-17 record and three playoff appearances in three seasons is simply not good enough for Philadelphia.
