Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has been one of if not the best receivers in recent memory. He has proven that he can be an elite wide receiver in the NFL even without the help of his former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, according to a recent trade proposal done by Bleacher Report, Adams and Rodgers could soon reunite, even as soon as next season.
Adams was almost dealt to the New York Jets during the NFL trade deadline in October, but the deal ended up not going through. The receiver voiced his frustrations with the Raiders organization throughout the regular season, but it seemed to die down once the franchise fired their head coach Josh McDaniels, making Antonio Pierce the interim head coach. Even with Pierce, Las Vegas was unable to get into the postseason, and Adams could be seeking a team with a better chance at competing.

Even though the star receiver has not requested a trade, ESPN’s Dan Graziano thinks that it is an “obvious” choice to get the deal done before free agency opens up. Graziano made it clear that all the hype that brought Adams to Las Vegas has now vanished, specifically talking about his old college teammate, Derek Carr, who is now with the New Orleans Saints.Ezoic
Glory Years Coming To An End?
With his age catching up to him, Adams could be dealt away from the Raiders for the team to begin building up newer pieces and planning for the future. Adams also has made himself vocal about how winning is the most important thing in his career, and many analysts think that will not happen with the Raiders. The receiver has amounted to 10,781 receiving yards and 95 touchdowns going into his eleventh-career year, which ranks amongst the top at his position in that time frame.
Adams-Rodgers Duo Reunited
Reuniting with Rodgers in New York would bring a different culture to the Jets, which would likely change the team’s mentality for the better. Rodgers was not able to showcase how he would do on a new team in 2023 after going out for the season with an Achilles injury on the first drive of the season. Having Adams in his receiving corps could boost the team’s entire offense, which ranked dead last in 2023 under quarterback Zach Wilson. Do you think Adams will be traded to the Jets, or will he stay in Las Vegas for at least one more year?
