Colin Cowherd takes massive dig at Aaron Rodgers’ football IQ with a subtle vaccine reference

One of the biggest trades in recent NFL history took place in April last year, when Aaron Rodgers left the Green Bay Packers to join the New York Jets. It was supposed to be a down year for the Packers and a great one for the Jets, however, it turned out to be the exact opposite. Rodgers suffered an Achilles tear in week 1 and the Jets’ season went downhill from there, whereas the Packers find themselves in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

The Packers on the other hand replaced Rodgers with Jordan Love. The first-year starter led his team to a 9-8 record and a Wild Card spot. They played the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs and dismantled the heavily favored side 48-32. Love and company dominated the game and advanced to the next round.

Fox Sports analyst, Colin Cowherd, questioned Rodgers’ football IQ after the Packers advanced to the Divisional Round.

Cowherd said on his show, The Herd:

He (Aaron Rodgers) had a smart offensive coach. He had a very good offensive line, it was ranked third. And Aaron went ‘Nah, I want to go to a defensive coach with a losing record, to the 31st ranked offensive line…a much tougher conference where I’m an old quarterback, and there’s like seven new young ones in their prime.’ Colin Cowherd said

He concluded, saying:

Forget about his vaccine and political opinions, Aaron’s football IQ isn’t very high. Colin Cowherd concluded
It was an interesting statement for one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the sport.

Packers’ OC Adam Stenavich admits communication is better with Jordan Love than with Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He is also one of the NFL history’s most polarizing figures. After spending his first 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers decided to take his talents to New York and join the New York Jets in the offseason. He was replaced by Jordan Love and the Packers have had a fantastic season with their new quarterback.

Packers’ OC Adam Stenavich revealed that the communication within the offense is much better with Love as the team’s QB rather than Rodgers. The OC said, addressing the reporters:

With Aaron, he would see stuff and make checks and all that that you didn’t exactly know what was happening at the time. I think our communication on the sideline has been better, just from that aspect. That is a huge advantage this year. Adam Stenavich said

Rodgers and the Jets failed to qualify for the playoffs this season. The Packers on the other hand will play the Divisional Round game against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.
