Last season, NFL wideout Odell Beckham Jr. made $16 million playing for the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year deal after missing the previous year while rehabbing a torn ACL suffered in Super Bowl LVI with the Rams.
Beckham is once again a free agent beginning March 13 when the new league year kicks off and should have a number of suiters albeit not at that price tag.
OBJ recorded just 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns with the Ravens last season and many think the Ravens overpaid based on production. So where will Beckham end up?
ESPN NFL analyst and former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III thinks he knows the perfect spot.
“The @chiefs SHOULD SIGN Odell Beckham Jr. Last year he proved he is STILL DYNAMIC after being 8th in the NFL averaging 16.1 yards per catch,” Griffin wrote on X. “The @Chiefs struggled with drops last year, but @obj had the lowest drop rate of his career with 1 drop on 64 targets (1.6%). Chief him.”
Even with his injury history, Beckham wants to keep playing and thinks he can still contribute.
“To me, if there is anything I felt about myself – regardless of anybody’s opinion or anything like that – is that I know that I can still play football, and I know that I still have [stuff] in the tank,” Beckham said.
if the Ravens have interest, it’ll have to be at a largely discounted rate. The team has just around $5 million in cap room and has a plethora of needs to fill.
