A Bachelor Alum Trashes Joey Graziadei As A “People Pleaser” Who Takes “The Easy Way Out”

Nick Viall just fired some warning shots at Joey Graziadei, the lead of The Bachelor season 28. Nick made his reality TV debut during The Bachelorette seasons 10 and 11, but he was rejected both times. After appearing on Bachelor In Paradise, that’s when he was given the chance to be the star of The Bachelor season 21. At the very end, he chose Vanessa Grimaldi, but their relationship didn’t last. Currently,Nick is most well known for hosting The Viall Files, where he’s had the opportunity to interview celebrities and reality stars, and give his honest opinions on what’s going down in pop culture.

Nick isn’t happy with what he’s seeing on screen, even going so far as to call Joey a “people pleaser.”

During a recent episode of The Viall Files, Nick decided to go after Joey, who has narrowed the group of The Bachelor season 28 contestants down to just 10. He’s now deep into his journey of finding love. However, Nick isn’t happy with what he’s seeing on screen, even going so far as to call Joey a “people pleaser” who decided to take “the easy way out.”

Is Nick Viall Right About Joey Graziadei?

“No one’s been sent home outside of a rose ceremony…There’s been no traumatic exit.”

One particular sticking point for Nick is the fact that Joey has only sent Bachelor season 28 contestants home during a rose ceremony or another staple of the show, like the recent two-on-one date. The Bachelor alum exclaimed, “No one’s been sent home outside of a rose ceremony [or the format of the show]. There’s been no traumatic exit.” It sounds like Nick has found The Bachelor season 28 to be boring so far. These comments seem to be coming more from the point of view of a fan watching the TV show, despite his history with Bachelor Nation.

It’s not like there’s been a lack of drama during The Bachelor season 28. Maria Georgas and Sydney Gordon have been at the center of a feud this season. Fortunately, Sydney was finally sent home in one of the most recent episodes after the awkward two-on-one date with Maria. As far as “traumatic exits” are concerned, the eliminations have been pretty standard so far, though Lauren Hollinger did quit the show in week 2, so that could technically count as an exit that’s out of the norm.

It seems like Nick wants the interactions between Joey and the women to be more explosive, resulting in more dramatic exits and rejections. While that’s understandable since it would make for great TV, at the end of the day, this is Joey’s journey, not Nick’s. As someone who’s been on The BacheloretteBachelor In Paradise and The Bachelor, he should know that everyone’s process of finding love is unique. Joey’s method seems to be working for him, and he should be allowed to let it unfold the way he wants it to.
