‘A True Teѕtаment to Hіѕ Strength’: Muhаmmаd Alі’ѕ Chіldren Reveаl Hіѕ Heаrt Keрt Beаtіng for 30 Mіnuteѕ After Hіѕ Orgаnѕ Fаіled

To Muhammad Ali‘s children, he wasn’t just “the greatest.”

The boxing legend was also a teacher, a hero and a “humble mountain,” according to a series of heartbreaking social media posts published just hours after his family announced his death at 74.

“All of us were around him hugging and kiss him and holding his hands, chanting the Islamic prayer,” daughter Hana Ali tweeted Saturday. “All of his organs failed but his HEART wouldn’t stop beating.”

(Muhammad had been hospitalized earlier this week for respiratory complications following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.)

“We all tried to stay strong and whispered in his hear, ‘You can go now. We will be okay. We love you. Thank you. You can go back to God now,’ ” Hana wrote.

And in an earlier tweet, Hana wrote, “Our father was a ‘Humble Mountain!’ And now he has gone home to God. God bless you daddy. YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!”

Daughter Rasheda Ali called her dad “the Greatest Man that ever lived.”

“Daddy my best friend & my Hero,” she tweeted. “You R no longer suffering & now in a better place.”

In a lengthy Instagram post, son Asaad Ali wrote that Muhammad “taught me so much the last 25 years … that will forever be imprinted on my soul.”

“I’m able to sit here and [write] this post without falling apart because I honestly know you are in a greater place,” Asaad continued.

Shortly before his death, daughter Laila Ali shared a heartwarming shot of her father snuggling with her daughter, Sydney.

“I love this photo of my father and my daughter Sydney when she was a baby,” she wrote. “Thank for all the love and well wishes. I feel your love and appreciate it!!”

“I know him as THE GREATEST father,” Ali’s eldest daugther Maryum tweeted Saturday. “I love you so much, Dad. His spirit visited me last night. Thank you world for your love & support!!!”

Muhammad’s death has triggered a worldwide outpouring of tributes, grief and love from fans and public figures alike, including both the Clinton and Obama families.

Muhammad’s family said he will be laid to rest following a funeral in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky on Friday. A public procession will proceed the event.
