Justin Fields will be traded by the Chicago Bears at some point soon. It’s now pretty much a foregone conclusion.
Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine earlier in the week, Bears general manager Ryan Poles noted that he’s not going to leave Fields out in the cold if Chicago make the decision to select a quarterback No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. He will “do right” by Fields, likely trading the quarterback without much more time passing.
Obviously, Chicago is being linked to former USC star quarterback Caleb Williams with that selection. Everything is trending in that direction with roughly two months to go before the draft.
We now have some more information on this courtesy of Pro Football Focus Betting. Fields’ odds of landing with the Atlanta Falcons now sit at -250 when they opened at +350. That’s an absolutely massive shift right there. Vegas seems to know something.
Atlanta has been linked to Fields a whole heck of a lot in recent weeks. The team is also potentially looking to move up from the No. 8 pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
Justin Fields to the Atlanta Falcons makes perfect sense

The idea of Atlanta moving a second-round pick and change to acquire the still-young 24-year-old Fields could represent a happy medium for the Falcons.
In order to trade up for one of the top-three quarterbacks in the draft, the Falcons would have to give up a whole lot. Williams will likely go No. 1 to the Bears. Drake Maye (North Carolina) and Jayden Daniels (LSU) could also be top-three picks in the annual event.
Justin Fields stats: 60.3% completion, 6,674 passing yards, 2,220 rushing yards, 54 total TD, 30 INT
While it has been a mixed bag for Fields since Chicago made him the No. 11 pick back in 2021, the upside is there.
He could also be an ideal fit in Atlanta with running back Bijan Robinson, tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Drake London as young skill-position players.
