The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off yet another Super Bowl and are already putting pieces in place to win their third Lombardi Trophy in a row, a feat that seems impossible.
While Patrick Mahomes gets much of the credit for Kansas City’s dominant run — as he has led the Chiefs to at least the AFC Championship game in every season he’s started — the brilliance of the team starts and ends with Andy Reid.
Reid is widely known as one of the brilliant minds. In the NFL and has clearly solidified himself as one of the top coaches in NFL history.

After a successful stint with the Philadelphia Eagles where he couldn’t lead them to a Super Bowl victory,
Andy Reid was hired as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013.
Reid helped revitalize the struggling franchise into one of the league’s best. In 11 seasons with Kansas City, he has led the Chiefs to 10 postseason appearances, eight consecutive division titles, six consecutive AFC Championship Games, four Super Bowl appearances, and three Super Bowl titles.
Reid also won the Chiefs’ first playoff game since 1993 in the 2015 season, clinched their first consecutive division titles between 2016 and 2017, and won their first Super Bowl in 50 years
Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid Believes A “Big Butt” Is Key To NFL Success And He Isn’t Alone

Former NFL punter Dustin Colquitt — who spent a lot of his career with the Chiefs — said the talking points at his end-of-season exit interviews with Kansas City head coach Andy Reid were generally pretty uneventful, except for one.
“He’d sit down with me and be like, ‘You went to the Pro Bowl, and we don’t have much to say to you. But don’t lose your butt. Punters have to have big butts. As soon as you start to look like you’re going downhill from a physique standpoint, you’re out of here. Keep that ass going.’”
And according to a recent article from The Athletic, the rear-end is one of the most scrutinized parts of the body when it comes to scouting NFL prospects.
Six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick is a fellow devotee of the derriere, according to Georgia coach Kirby Smart. In a video posted to X last year, Smart described the time he joined Belichick to watch defensive linemen run the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. Smart, then the Dolphins’ safeties coach, was confused by Belichick watching the drill from behind the starting line.
“I was like, ‘Why are we here? You can’t time the finish,’” Smart said. Dolphins coach Nick Saban, a friend and former colleague of Belichick’s, had the answer, according to Smart: “Bill likes to look and see how big their ass is when they get down in a 40-yard stance because he wants to sign the biggest-assed defensive linemen he can sign.”

Andy Reid is clearly not the only coach or NFL executive checking out player’s butts while attempting to land the next top prospect for the Kansas City Chiefs.
So you want me to comment about how important a guy’s ass is in the evaluation?” Mike Mayock asked in the piece for the Athletic while laughing. “You’re really doing this, huh?”
For years, the humble human haunches have been key indicators for football scouts as they evaluated players. Mayock, the former Las Vegas Raiders general manager, has reluctantly been installed as leader of the Cult of the Caboose since referencing the rump multiple times as an NFL Network draft analyst in the 2010s, which makes him a great source for a story about seats.
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to pull off an almost impossible feat by winning their third Super Bowl. We know where Andy Reid will be looking when prepping for the NFL Draft.
