Dallas Cowboys: CeeDee Lamb Drops Truth on Mom’s Criticism of Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb set the record straight on his mom’s criticism of Dak Prescott following their Wild Card loss to the Green Bay Packers last January.

Lamb emphasized that he has a good relationship with Prescott and that he has nothing to do with what his mom wrote on social media.

For those who missed it, Lamb’s mom was critical of Prescott following their ugly loss to the Packers, in which the Cowboys QB struggled big time and finished with 403 yards and three touchdowns against two interceptions.

The Cowboys trailed by 20 at halftime as Prescott was unable to get into offensive rhythm, and it proved to be a hole to deep to get them out of in the end. Prescott were able to score two more TDs, but those came in garbage time when the game was out of reach.

Following the loss, Lamb’s mother, Leta Ramirez, took to Facebook with some fiery comments towards the veteran QB. She claimed that Prescott isn’t the right QB to lead the franchise and expressed her desire for her son to leave the team.

Ramirez went on to say that Lamb would be better off with CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans since Prescott doesn’t want to win a championshion.

“DAK ISN’T IT!!! I wish [CeeDee] would leave.. They need to get rid of [Dak’s] ass.. It’s guys on that team that want a RING! They work too hard.. [Dak] don’t want to win a RING!” Ramirez wrote in a post.

Now, in an interview on Micah Parsons’ The Edge Podcast, CeeDee Lamb addressed the issue head on and pointed out that what his mom said isn’t a reflection of his own thoughts.

Lamb pointed out that he’s not talking to his mom about his football life and personal problems, and so what his mother did in blasting Prescott is just her being a mom.

“Let’s get the elephant out of the room. No I have no conscious, no I haven’t been talking to my mom about any of this. I don’t talk to my mom about my sports nor my personal problems. She just being a mom, she knows her son comes home mad fortunately when we lose,” Lamb said of his mom’s Dak Prescott outburst.

“So she had the opportunity to voice her opinion on Facebook we know. I have, once again, I’m going to repeat this, I have no beef with my quarterback. I love my dawg he know that. With that being said, let’s go make some more millions lets go score some more touchdowns.”

For what it’s worth, the criticism of Lamb’s mom came amid the reported altercation between the wide receiver and the quarterback during the Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers Wild Card showdown.

Fortunately for Cowboys fans, it seems all is well in Dallas … at least for now.
