There’s something about the Eagles and Cowboys blowing it in the playoffs that makes NY Giants fans feel like it’s still the holiday season. On Monday night, Philly was in Tampa Bay to take on the Bucs, but goodness, they looked flat on both sides of the ball in a 32-9 defeat.
Just like that, the team’s season is over and Nick Sirianni’s job security is up in the air. While plenty of players struggled, there’s no question that former Big Blue cornerback James Bradberry had a night to forget. While we don’t want to go after just him, we also haven’t forgotten about the tweet the Eagles sent out after taking down the G-Men in the Divisional Round last winter:

Eagles CB James Bradberry had a terrible showing in the loss to Tampa Bay
Again, we don’t want to bash on Bradberry, but that’s karma right there for Philly’s social media team. In the loss against the NFC South side in primetime, goodness, the Eagles really did look lost and Sirianni was clearly out-coached by Todd Bowles and Co.
Bradberry couldn’t do anything right either. According to Pro Football Focus, the veteran CB was targeted six times, giving up five receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown. Oh, let’s also not forget about the brutal missed tackle he had on a short gain that led to this:

Bradberry had Tampa Bay wideout Trey Palmer stopped, but he somehow whiffed on trying to bring him down. Palmer then flew down the field and nothing was going to prevent him from finding the end zone. As soon as that play happened, Eagles fans were ripping into Bradberry for his awful moment.
Throughout the year, Bradberry struggled during his second campaign with the Eagles, including him getting benched during the loss on Monday to the Bucs in favor of Kelee Ringo. Joe Schoen appeared to be spot on in not giving him a multi-year extension. We feel bad for Bradberry, but we surely don’t feel bad for the Eagles choking against the Bucs and getting sent home with a major L to their name.
