Emily Simpson’s home renovation is coming along, and based on her recent Instagram Story, the new-and-improved abode will include a beautifully updated kitchen.
In her February 4 video, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member showed off her in-progress white marble kitchen island, “Making progress! New slabs are in!” As you can see in the video above, the island was previously brown, and it appears some of her former kitchen cabinets are now being replaced.
Although Emily is beyond excited about her beautiful new kitchen, she won’t necessarily be utilizing it every day. In the video above, she stepped into the open room and joked, “This is where I don’t cook. This is the oven and the stove that I don’t use.”
“I do cook occasionally,” she clarified. “Not much, though. It’s hard when you work a lot.”
While she may not cook often, Emily explained to BravoTV.com in 2020 that her fridge is stocked. “I like to keep a lot of fruits and vegetables,” she said. Some of the other contents of her family’s refrigerator at the time included “Lots of condiments,” Hawaiian rolls, “a drawer dedicated to tortillas,” and “lots of cheese sticks” for her three kids.
Emily Simpson’s home renovation details
In August 2022, Emily revealed she was renovating her house, writing in an Instagram Story, “Someday it will be amazing.” One year later, in August 2023, she seemed frustrated by the progress. “Will my house ever be done?” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram Story video as she shared an update on her living room. “I haven’t even started remodeling the kitchen yet. At this point I think it would be easier to move.”
Although Emily is hard at work upgrading her house, she and her family will likely say goodbye to the home at some point down the road. During a March 2022 Ask Me Anything session on Instagram, a follower asked if Emily planned to move out of California. “[Yes] someday,” she responded. “Most likely Utah. Maybe Wyoming.”
