Here’s Why Tom Schwartz Is Saying He’s in His “Adam Sandler Era” (VIDEO)

The Vanderpump Rules cast member is channeling the actor and comedian in an unexpected way.

At BravoCon 2023, during the Vanderpump Rules panel discussion, Katie Maloney told her ex, Tom Schwartz, that he looked “like a couch,” seemingly referring to the floral-patterned jacket he was wearing for the occasion.

Though Katie was uncertain about Tom’s style choice, it was refreshing to see the Schwartz & Sandy’s entrepreneur experiment with different colors and patterns — a choice, perhaps, credited to the stylist he recently hired (more on that later).

Considering Tom’s style, we got a peek at his latest “era” in a preview clip for Vanderpump Rules Season 8, Episode 5, which airs on February 27. Keep scrolling to get all the details on what Tom says about his fashion.

Tom Schwartz explains his latest style evolution

In the preview clip you can watch above, Tom heads to Hatchet Outdoor Supply Co., in Los Angeles with his pal, Tom Sandoval. As the pair enter into the store, Schwartz declares, “I’m a scrub, I don’t have any clothes,” inferring to the salesperson that he needed to shop for some new threads.

“I’m in my Adam Sandler era,” Schwartz then hilariously quips, pointing to the yellow track jacket, shorts, and backward hat — a laid-back look typically associated with the actor.

Following his statement, Sandoval affirms his friend: “That’s cool, that’s a cool era.”

What is Adam Sandler style?

As explained by TODAY, videos containing the hashtags “[AdamSandlerStyle]” and “[AdamSandlerSummer]” have gone viral on TikTok, with one user describing the aesthetic as “the ultimate La-Z-Boy style.”

The comedian and actor often sports clothing typical of what Schwartz was rocking in the clip above: laid back athleisure in the form of oversized shirts, basketball shorts, hoodies, sneakers, and things of that sort.

In a first look clip from the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Schwartz and Sandoval commented on their looks for the occasion, with Sandoval noting he was going for  “late ’90s Pac Sun” vibes and Schwartz revealing something we weren’t expecting.

“I do have a stylist now — so watch out,” he quipped. For the sit-down, Schwartz donned a cheetah print zip-up long-sleeve shirt and black pants.
