Jimmy Butler Returns To Heat Lineup Scoring 31, Leads Heat Past Nets in Brooklyn

The Miami Heat received a jolt to their lineup with the return of their NBA Superstar, Jimmy Butler vs. the Brooklyn Nets. Butler had missed the previous seven games due to a sprained toe. With Jimmy Butler back in the fold, the Heat defeated the Brooklyn Nets 96-95 in overtime. The Miami Heat now move to eight games over .500 with a 24-16 record. The Heat also improved to 12-9 on the road this season.

The Heat scored a season-low 31 points in the first half. They turned things around in the second half and were able to close the gap, take a brief lead, and then force overtime against the Nets. In the overtime period, things went back and forth. Jimmy Butler hit two free throws to give the Heat the 96-95. The Heat were then able to stop Mikal Bridges’ fadeaway jumper at the end of overtime to win the game.

Jimmy Butler led the way for the Heat in his return to the lineup with 31 points. Butler scored his 31 on 8-for-12 shooting. Butler knocked down 15-for-16 from the free-throw line. Butler grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists, and recorded two steals.
