Kyle Richards Gets More Candid Than Ever About Her and Mauricio’s Problems: “We Need Help”

Kyle Richards opened up about her and Mauricio Umansky’s marital issues more than ever before on RHOBH.

Kyle Richards hasn’t shied away from talking about her and Mauricio Umansky’s marital issues on Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but the OG was particularly candid on Episode 15, which aired February 7.

More specifically, Kyle opened up about the “hard time” she and her husband are experiencing and how it’s affecting their daughters, Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky. She also expressed her concerns about Mauricio’s work schedule to Dorit Kemlsey.

Kyle Richards’ Concerns About Her Daughters Amid Her and Mauricio Umansky’s Marital Troubles

The RHOBH cast trip to Spain continued on Episode 15, which meant that Kyle’s anxiety about being away from her daughters did, too.

“I feel like because we have been going through this hard time, I’m more sensitive to how Mau is feeling [and] how my kids are feeling,” she explained in a confessional. “And the fact that I’m not there and the girls are out, I worry. It’s different for me now. I just feel like everyone’s a lot more fragile.”

Kyle noted that she was particularly concerned about her youngest daughter, Portia. One flashback clip showed Kyle and Mauricio talking about Sutton Stracke bringing up rumors that Mauricio had cheated, only for Portia to suddenly walk through the door. Mauricio went to continue the conversation, but Kyle shushed him and said, “Wait until she leaves.”

Kyle Richards’ Worries About Her Marriage to Mauricio Umansky

After the RHOBH cast returned from their Spain vacation, Kyle had Dorit over to give her the rundown on her and Mauricio’s marital issues. “We never fight. We don’t get in fights. If we do get in an argument or a fight, it’s me,” she began. “But the bad side of that is you’re not communicating, so often it’s like, something will bother one of us and it’s like we’d just rather be peaceful and just not deal.”

“I am more the one that will say, ‘This upsets me,’ and I have this fiery side, and he just wants it to be peaceful all the time, but that’s not always a good thing,” Kyle continued. “Then, add in all the traveling and our work schedules.”

Mauricio, as Kyle has previously pointed out, travels a lot for work. “With that comes a lot of different things — things that they’re not here for, things that they’re missing out on,” she said before listing off a few of the questions that she often finds herself asking her husband: “Why did you accept going away that long? Why does this meeting take so long? Why did you get home so late from the meeting?”

“I almost feel like he thinks, ‘Give Kyle some time and she’ll get over it and she’ll be fine,'” she added. “But I’m telling him, it’s a lot more than that. We need help.”

And instead of working to improve their relationship, Kyle feels as though Mauricio is only working to improve the Agency. “It’s like his child,” she said. “Whatever was going wrong [with the Agency], he would do everything he could, all his energy, to fix that. So I’m like, if we’re having an issue, why can’t you give that energy that you give to the company?”

Kyle’s especially hurt because she’s always “supported him through everything since day one when he had nothing,” she said in a confessional. “And when I told him that we are in trouble and ‘I need you to work through this with me,’ I needed to feel like that I was a priority and that we were a priority.”

“If there’s no effort made or put into us, we’re not gonna end up together,” Kyle concluded. “We’ll never survive this.”
