Michael Jordan celebrates his 61st birthday

Michael Jordan played 101 games at the University of North Carolina, divided in three years. In those seasons, he averaged 17.7 points, 5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 steals, winning the NCAA national championship in 1982.

Michael Jordan was selected at number 3 in the 1984 draft by the Chicago Bulls. Jordan quickly made his mark in the NBA, winning the Rookie of the Year award in 1985 and becoming a dominant force in the league.

During his career with the Chicago Bulls, Jordan won six NBA championships and earned five Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards. After retiring from professional basketball for the first time in 1993, Jordan explored a career in baseball before returning to the NBA in 1995.

He continued to dominate the league with the Bulls until his second retirement in 1999. However, in 2001, he returned to the NBA to play two seasons with the Washington Wizards before retiring for good in 2003.

As for his career with the U.S. national basketball team, Michael Jordan also left an indelible mark. He represented his country in numerous international competitions, being one of the outstanding members of the legendary “Dream Team” at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

Jordan helped lead the team to the gold medal in a dominant manner, displaying his skill and leadership on the court.

His participation in the 1984 Olympic Games, where he won the gold medal, and the 1992 Olympic Games, helped cement his status as one of the most iconic players in international basketball.
