The New York Giants announced on Thursday that they re-signed wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins, pending a physical. Isaiah Hodgins played in all 17 games a season for this football team but only started in nine games and was a restricted free agent.
He is only 25 years old. Isaiah Hodgins last season caught 21 passes for 230 yards receiving and three touchdowns, along with averaging 11.0 yards per reception, and was targeted 33 times. The year before, he played with the Buffalo Bills and the Giants.

During the 2022 season, Hodgins caught 33 passes for 351 yards receiving and four touchdowns, along with averaging 10.6 yards reception, and was targeted 42 times. He will be entering his third season with the franchise. Last season, it appeared as if he was going to be one of the top wide receivers on the roster and it never happened.
Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, and Jylan Hyatt will be ahead of him on the depth chart entering next season. They just lost Parris Campbell in NFL free agency to the Philadelphia Eagles.
New York Giants Signing Isaiah Hodgins Is a Good Depth Piece But They Still Need To Address the Position Through the NFL Draft
As of right now, Hodgins is the fourth wide receiver on the New York Giants depth chart entering next season, but they don’t have a true number-one wide receiver at the current moment. With the sixth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, all of that can change for them.
It is possible that they could win up either Marvin Harrison Jr. (Ohio State), Malik Nabers (LSU), or Rome Odunze (Washington) with the sixth pick. All of those players are playmakers and have number-one wide receiver potential.
Harrison Jr. has the best potential out of those three in this class, but Nabers is a very close second. With all of the quarterbacks projected to go early in the 2024 NFL Draft, it is quite possible that Isaiah Hodgins gets bumped down as the fifth wide receiver and they take one of the top wide receivers available on the board.

The most likely pick would be Malik Nabers. The top three wide receivers on the roster would be Nabers, Robinson, and Slayton. That would be a much better wide receiver than it was before the NFL Draft. It is also possible they draft a quarterback if someone slips.
