New York Giants Sign Ex Raiders Offensive Line Coach

The New York Giants have been making a ton of moves since their off season began after this past Sunday. They have already decided to part ways with defensive coordinator Wink Martindale , and many other coaches. Now they have made another move acquiring an offensive line coach who coached the past three seasons for the Las Vegas Raiders.

New York Giants Sign Ex Raiders Offensive Line Coach

Brian Daboll has been making many moves to begin the first week of off season as we have seen so much movement especially for coaches in this first week of off season for so many teams. It is official now according to the New York Giants report,

“The New York Giants have hired former Las Vegas Raiders offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo.”

The Giants are going to continue to make a bunch of moves for coaches as they still have many coach openings for the organization. This is a great start as Bricillo has done great work in Vegas for the past three years and was very solid as well with the New England Patriots before he got there.

New York Giants Bring In Carmen Bricillo
This is a big move for the Giants as last off season they gave tons of money to Daniel Jones to be their franchise quarterback and he has suffered injuries as one of the most sacked quarterbacks in the league the past few years.

Jones needs help from the O-line and it is a great move to bring in a coach who has had some success on multiple teams. This wont solve most of the Giants problems however, and they will need to make many more moves this off season. But for now this is a solid start and one that Jones is probably happy about after spending most of the year on the sideline due to injury.

Daboll has a lot more work cut out for him this off season including what to do about star running back Saquon Barkley who would also benefit from a revamped offensive line. Carmen will be one of a few new coaches for their staff come the season opener of 2024 and Jones will be suiting up as well. The last time Jones played a full season New York was in the playoffs.

If Carmen can come in and help the offensive line it will go a long way for the success of Jones and therefor the whole team, but the organization still has a lot more work to do before next season.
