New York Knісkѕ’ Donte DіVіnсenzo Goeѕ Full Steрhen Curry In Reсord-Settіng Exрloѕіon vѕ. Detroіt Pіѕtonѕ

New York Knicks shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo was as hot as the surface of the sun Monday night when his team took on the Detroit Pistons at home, 124-99. DiVincenzo was simply unconscious with the leather in that game, as he finished with an astounding total of 40 points on an incredible 14/23 shooting from the field.

Even more impressive? DiVincenzo nailed 11 of his 20 attempts from behind the arc to set a new franchise record.

Donte DiVincenzo Carries The New York Knicks To Win Vs. Detroit Pistons With Awesome Shooting

By draining 11 triples against the Pistons, DiVincenzo became just the first player ever in the history of the Knicks franchise to have over 10 3-pointers in a contest.

“Yes, it’s an amazing feeling having the crowd behind you,” DiVincenzo said after the game, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), “but also like every time you touch the ball, they’re like, ‘Shoot! Shoot!,” the former Villanova Wildcats star added.

It was an impressive spectacular performance that left even Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau amazed.

“Impressive, and he’s been doing it all year,” Thibodeau said following the game. “I thought his teammates helped create good shots for him, he knocked them down and played hard the whole game.”

DiVincenzo is truly coming into his own in the Big Apple. After averaging just 9.1 points in his first five seasons in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors, DiVincenzo is now putting up a career-high 14.9 points per game with a 40.0 percent success rate on shots taken from downtown.

It looks like DiVincenzo has finally found a home in the NBA with the Knicks, who have him under team control until at least the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
