Raiders star WR says he would like to catch passes from Kirk Cousins

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams recently mentioned Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins as someone he’d like to catch passes from.

If Kirk Cousins doesn’t end up re-signing with the Minnesota Vikings this year, it shouldn’t take long for him to find a new team in the NFL.

Every season, there are a number of teams around the league that are in need of a new quarterback, and Cousins could be that signal-caller to help one of them fill that void on their roster.

The Atlanta Falcons are a team that has been widely speculated as a potential Cousins landing spot if he leaves Minnesota this year. But a new team might have just become another possible new home for the veteran quarterback.

If he leaves the Minnesota Vikings, could Kirk Cousins sign with the Las Vegas Raiders?

In addition to the Falcons, the Las Vegas Raiders might be a team to keep an eye on as a future employer of Cousins.

Especially after some recent comments about the Vikings quarterback were made by Raiders All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams.

In a recent appearance on the “Two G’s in a Pod” podcast, Adams was asked about some of the current veteran NFL quarterbacks that he would like to catch passes from, and Cousins was one of the first guys he listed.

“I like a Kirk Cousins. I think Kirk Cousins is a really good quarterback. As far as availability, I think Kirk’s a good player.”

These are certainly some interesting comments from Adams, who has seen plenty of Cousins in person when he was a member of the Green Bay Packers.

Now, to be fair, Adams wasn’t delivering some sort of recruiting pitch for Minnesota’s veteran quarterback.

But Las Vegas could be in need of a new veteran signal-caller this offseason, and they are one of the few teams in the league that could probably afford the type of contract Cousins is going to be looking for.

It will all depend on what new Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce wants to do, but it seems like Cousins already has the approval of Las Vegas’s top wide receiver.
