Rapid Recap: Bucks 129, Warriors 118

n what was a close game for the majority of the night, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to pull away from the Golden State Warriors and earn a 129-118 victory.

After the Warriors took an early six-point lead in the first, the Bucks responded in a big way. Led by Damian Lillard, they embarked on a run that catapulted them back in front. Through one, Dame registered 12 points and was the leading ingredient in Milwaukee’s 33-24 first quarter lead.

The lead that the Bucks crafted out would disappear in the second, thanks to consistent scoring from the Golden State lineup. Trayce Jackson-Davis specifically provided a big spark off the bench with ten first quarter points. At halftime, the Warriors held a small lead at 56-54.

The score would remain close throughout the third, with both teams frustrating one another. Milwaukee was able to flip the script a tad by carrying a two-point lead into the final quarter of regulation, 83-81.

The Bucks kept growing their lead at multiple times throughout the fourth, only to have Golden State keep sticking around. However, solid play led by Khris Middleton gave Milwaukee the boost they needed to cross the finish line and secure the 129-118 W.

Stat That Stood Out
One thing that stood out Golden State doing a strong job of dominating near the rim in this one. A majority of their points came from that area, particularly in the first half. Despite this, Milwaukee was still able to alleviate the stress they felt from the Warriors down low and still earn a win. However, given that the Bucks play Sacramento and Sabonis tomorrow, that’ll be an area that they want to shore up for sure.
