Russell Wilson, Ciara put $25 million Denver-based mansion up for sale in latest sign of Broncos divorce

It was ahead of the 2022 NFL season that Russell Wilson and his better half, wife Ciara, bought a $25 million Denver-area mansion after he was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Broncos.

For the couple, this wasn’t necessarily going to be a forever home. But their family was to set up shop for several years as the Super Bowl-winning quarterback made his way from the Pacific Northwest.

Fast forward roughly two years, and Wilson will soon be released by the Broncos after being benched late in the 2023 season. It has been a remarkable fall from grace for the potential future Hall of Fame quarterback on the football field.

The latest sign that Wilson and the Broncos are about to embark on a divorce comes amid a report that the quarterback and his wife now have the aforementioned mansion on the block.

“Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and singer-songwriter wife Ciara are accepting offers, and providing tours to prospective buyers, for the mansion they own in Cherry Hills Village,” BusinesDen reported on Friday.

The 20,000 square-foot home sits on five acres of land. It has four bedrooms, 12 bathrooms (that’s really a necessity), a 2,590 square-foot indoor swimming pool and a basketball court. It is reportedly the most expensive home ever sold in the Denver area.

The 35-year-old Wilson signed a five-year, $242.59 million contract extension with Denver back in September of 2022, months after being acquired from Seattle.

His tenure in Denver will come to an end after two short seasons. It wasn’t for a lack of performance during the 2023 campaign from Wilson. He threw 26 touchdowns compared to eight interceptions in the quarterback’s best season since 2020 with the Seahawks.

Once Wilson hits the NFL free agent market, he’ll find a number of teams interested in him as a short-term starting quarterback. That will likely include the Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots and Washington Commanders. Realtors in those areas might want to prepare for a turf war.
