The NFL offseason hasn’t even started, yet the Pittsburgh Steelrs are scouring for team improvements.
And while the notable additions will come via free agency and the draft, now is the time you find diamonds in the rough.
Pittsburgh is hoping that just happened with one of their latest additions.
Steelers Add Five
The Steelers signed five players to Reserve/Future contracts today, including several players who spent time on the practice squad in 2023.
The team signed defensive back Kalon Barnes, defensive back Thomas Graham, linebacker Tyler Murray, linebacker David Perales and defensive back Josiah Scott.

The Steelers are bringing back Murray, Perales, and Scott, all of whom spent a portion of time on the Steelers practice squad throughout last season.
Perhaps the most notable of the signings is former Baylor DB Kalon Barnes.
Barnes was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2022 before bouncing around a couple of teams’ practice squads over the last two seasons.
He set an NFL Combine record in 2022 when he ran an official 4.23 40-yard dash, the fastest ever recorded from a corner in NFL history.
The traits are obvious and the talent is there, Pittsburgh is just hoping things click at his next stop in Pittsburgh.
