Teen Mom Mackenzie McKee’s son Gannon, 12, sets house on fire in background of mom’s livestream- leaving fans in horror

MACKENZIE McKee has been praised online for handling a scary situation during a livestream.

The Teen Mom star’s son, Gannon, 12, accidentally set an object on fire in their home.

Earlier this week, Mackenzie, 29, went live on TikTok to spend time with her followers.

Mackenzie McKee caught a terrifying moment while live streaming

When discussing time management and feeling overwhelmed, Gannon could be heard in the background screaming for his mom’s help.

Instantly, the MTV alum switched into mom mode, took a broom, and put out the flames that could be seen in the reflection of the mirror.

Mack’s youngest son, Broncs, seven, was also seen watching the situation go down.

Seconds later, Gannon ran into the frame while panicking and watching his mom put out the fire.

Fans could hear the mom of three trying to calm him down and telling him how to handle the situation – all while doing her best to end the live stream, but couldn’t figure out how.

“Mom, that was freakin’ scary,” he said.

Mack walked back to her phone and laughed, “Okay, a little thing just caught on fire. Oh my gosh!”

“Mom, the whole house just caught on fire!” Gannon exclaimed with his mom telling him it didn’t and everything was fine.

She showed viewers the damage, which was burnt flowers all over the ground.

‘I’M SHAKING’
When the TV personality asked how the fire started, Gannon explained that he was “flicking” the lighter, but no flame came out.

He questioned how the bouquet could catch on fire so quickly.

Mack said, “That’s how serious fire is,” while her main concern was that her son was okay and that it wasn’t a big fire, only a little one.

Regardless of what his mom was saying, Gannon took the scary situation very seriously.

“I’m shaking right now,” the 12-year-old admitted.

Mack adjusted the camera so that it was on her while she was hugging Broncs, “I have a feeling this is gonna be all over the internet tomorrow. That’s never happened. Gannon was playing with a lighter!”

While speaking to her fans, the former Teen Mom star rushed to put out a fire in her home

She showed watchers the flowers she had as it was badly burned.

Gannon defended himself, saying that it didn’t spark and that was the gas inside the lighter and he didn’t mean to start the fire.

Mack said, “Gannon, just ‘Hey mom, now I know not to play with lighters.’ Cause it could have been really, really bad. What if that was upstairs, remember me telling you how dangerous lighters can be?”

The TM alum went on to explain that in situations like that, he needed to remember to stay calm.

“I can’t believe that just happened,” she said, continuing to talk about it with Gannon and how they were going to tell her boyfriend, Khesanio Hall what happened.

“Khes is gonna kill us!” Mack said during the live.

‘SHE HANDLED IT WELL’
While many fans were left horrified at what happened, others praised Mack for how she handled the situation.

One viewer screen recorded the TikTok live and shared it on a Teen Mom-related Reddit account.

The author said, “Thankfully it was put out quickly and nobody was hurt and their home didn’t suffer any real damage. Mackenzie rarely, if ever, does anything admirable (or respectable) but i think she handled this well.”

Others were quick to agree.

Her youngest son, Broncs, seven, was also there to witness the horrifying situation

One said, “She handled herself well. She even validates Gannon’s feelings. She even said this is probably going to go on Reddit. I never knew flowers were that flammable and I’m a whole adult. I hope Gannon learned his lesson. [It’s also a] lesson to all keep lighters away from children [where] they can touch it.”

“I’m impressed,” admitted another.

A third said, “She handled this way better than I would have lol.”

A fourth said, “Kudos to her. I wouldn’t have been that calm. I’m proud of how she also reassured her son. S**t happens.”
