Tim Hardaway Names His “All-Time Heat Starting 5,” Mentions LeBron, Alonzo, Shaq O’Neal

In a recent episode of “The OGs” podcast, former Miami Heat players Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller were joined by Heat legend Tim Hardaway Sr. The trio delved into topics ranging from Hardaway’s starting five choices, intriguing stories about the unique Pat Riley, the current Miami Heat’s hesitancy in taking shots, to the possibility of seeing Tim Hardaway Jr. donning a Miami jersey.

With a six-season stint with the Heat, Hardaway etched an impressive legacy, sporting the iconic No. 10 jersey. As a two-time All-Star, he guided the team to multiple playoff appearances, earning a revered place in Heat history, culminating in the retirement of his No. 10 jersey in 2009.

During the podcast, a fan posed the question of seeing Tim Hardaway Jr. play for Miami. While expressing the desire to witness his son in the Heat uniform, the Hall of Famer made it clear – no sharing of the retired jersey.

Sharing his insights on the current Heat team, Hardaway Sr. pointed out their tendency to pass up shots and emphasized the need for the starting point guard, specifically Terry Rozier, to take charge.

“Terry Rozier, you got to let him go. He’s the only one who can really break somebody down and make it work,” remarked Hardaway.

When prompted to reveal his “All-time Heat starting 5,” Hardaway Sr. named a formidable lineup featuring himself, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Alonzo Mourning, and Shaquille O’Neal, showcasing the formidable talent that has graced the Heat franchise over the years.

“Oh man, Tim Hardaway, Dwyane Wade, I gotta put LeBron (James) in there, I can’t go nowehere without my buddy, Zo (Alonzo Mourning), and Shaquille O’Neal”
