Vikings QB Kirk Cousins helps a bunch of college girls gain extra credits with a wholesome gesture

As Kirk Cousins is taking his sweet time to recover from his Achilles injury, he made a special appearance in a college classroom on Friday. Interestingly, his visit turned out to be quite beneficial for a pair of students as it got them some extra credit.

What happened was, not everyone knew this but the Cousins had been doing physical therapy at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, for the recovery of Achilles injury which he suffered in week 8 of the 2023 regular season. Two students of that college spotted the Minnesota Vikings quarterback on the campus.

When no one believed them, their professor gave them a challenge: if they could get Cousins into the classroom, they would get extra credit.

On hearing this, Cousins not only went with them, he literally drove them to the campus and spoke to their entire class, earning them the extra credit they deserved.

The Vikings’ star QB also tweeted about the whole incident on his X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:

Two https://twitter.com/_MLFootball/status/1750956672296587729Students stopped me after my PT [Physical Therapy] session.. told me they’d get extra credit if I showed up to class so I had to stop by. Professor Gentile, thanks for having me, but now I’m holding you to that extra credit! Kirk Cousins wrote on X

Not that getting extra credit is any less fortunate, but meeting the legend of Cousins was sure a dream come true for the students of Hope College.

Kirk Cousins’ future with Vikings uncertain after Achilles injury

There have been quite a handful of rumors suggesting Cousins’ return to the Vikings next season is doubtful, following his season-ending Achilles injury. The quarterback is also likely to head into free agency in the next few weeks.

To show his best profile in the offseason, Cousins underwent stem cell treatment for an advanced recovery. However, the franchise is inclined towards keeping the quarterback for another season, considering the intricacies of executing their playbook for a solid season.

If the star quarterback went ahead with free agency, it wouldn’t be long until a team offered him a better deal and money than the Vikings. Perhaps it will unfold when the NFL offseason begins. But it sure would be interesting to see what measures the Vikings take to keep Cousins for another season and what the quarterback decides.
