Busy week for Enzo!
He took to YouTube to state that those closest to the 23-year-old say the player was more than aware of what he was letting himself in for by choosing to move to Stamford Bridge.
Fernandez has been in the headlines this week for a number of different reasons, both on and off the pitch.
He capped off a fantastic performance earlier this week when he scored a stunning free-kick to go along with his player of the match performance against Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
His celebration was clearly put together to try and make a statement in the face of some stories that had been written about him days before the game, with it claimed that he was considering his options.
It has since been claimed that actually he is more than happy at Chelsea, where he is looking to turn things around.
Fernandez’s family say he’s staying
Romano has now claimed that his family are also sending the exact same message.
He said: “Enzo Fernandez had other possibilities and knew joining Chelsea project was a risk, but he wanted to accept as it was a long term process. People close to Enzo and family, deny he is leaving.”
Fernandez will be hoping his performance earlier this week is a sign that he has turned a corner this season, as well as the rest of the Chelsea team.
One of the reasons they were so successful at Villa Park is the combination of both the Argentine and Moises Caicedo in the middle of the park.
The duo played by far their best game together, and finally began to show exactly why so much money was spent bringing them in to play alongside each other.
