Who did Joey propose to on ‘The Bachelor’ finale? Who will be the next ‘Bachelorette’?

Joey Graziadei’s season of “The Bachelor” is officially over. About six dozen roses later, he gave his final rose to his new fiancé.

From 32 women to just two left standing, Joey had to choose between Daisy Kent and Kelsey Anderson in Tulum.

Daisy and Kelsey both met Joey’s family for the first time and both visits were emotional as each girl delved into their connection with him and told his family about some of the hardships in their lives. His family members pulled each girl aside to probe them about their connection and ask if they would be ready to be engaged and married to Joey.

For weeks, Jesse Palmer has been teasing Bachelor Nation, telling fans to anticipate something never seen before on the show.

Here’s who Joey proposed to on “The Bachelor” season 28 finale, a recap of the final one-on-one dates, what the unexpected plot twist was and which Florida woman was announced as the next “Bachelorette.”

Joey gave his final rose to Kelsey, closing off his season of “The Bachelor.” Joey proposed to Kelsey on the sandy beaches of Tulum where he told her he loved her and got down on one knee to propose to her with a Neil Diamond ring.

What were the final one-on-one dates with Daisy and Kelsey on the finale of ‘The Bachelor’?

Joey and Daisy partook in a spiritual cleansing ceremony to heal their hearts and minds, where Daisy left feeling like she would not be picked because of the way he spoke about how he hoped she would find happiness, either with or without him.

“It would hurt if it’s not me, but if I’m being 100% honest I don’t think it’s me,” Daisy said in a confessional after he left her villa, where she told him she loves him.

On his date with Kelsey, they had a relaxing spa day filled with foot massages and face masks. Later in the evening, the pair talked about meeting his family where Kelsey revealed she’d be terrified if she wasn’t chosen and told him in the end, she sees him and her together.

What happened on the last episode of ‘The Bachelor’?

Other than both Daisy and Kelsey meeting Joey’s family and going on their last dates as contestants on the show, Bachelor Nation was patiently waiting for the unforeseen plot twist that Jesse Palmer has been referring to for weeks.

Some speculated Joey might leave Tulum alone, with no fiancé. But long-time “Bachelor” fans knew better. Joey proposed to Kelsey and the two are still happily engaged. But for the first time in the history of the show, one contestant showed up at the other woman’s room before the final rose ceremony for a woman-to-woman talk.

In a turn of events, Daisy knocked on Kelsey’s door before the final rose ceremony to tell her about how “off” her date felt with Joey, noting a lack of validation from Joey on their last one-on-one date. She shared that she knew Kelsey’s connection with him was stronger than hers and she didn’t want to stand in the way.

The two women rode to the rose ceremony together instead of separately, where Daisy told Joey that she loves him, but knows he’s not going to choose her.

The two cried holding hands as she told him she would be going home. He offered to walk her out, but she told him its something she needed to do on her own, concluding her journey on the show.

“I know your mom is going to be looking down on this moment and she’s going to be so happy,” Daisy told Kelsey after leaving Joey at the rose ceremony.

That’s when Kelsey walked out in a long (quite bridal) white dress and Joey popped the question.

Who is the new ‘Bachelorette’ 2024?
