Scheana Shay Speaks Out After Jax and Brittany’s Separation: “I Think It’s for the Best”

Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay shared why she thinks the split was the right move for Brittany Cartwright.

Scheana Shay is sounding off on the split between two of her former Vanderpump Rules castmates, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor.

Jax and Brittany, who wed in front of the Vanderpump Rules cameras on Season 8, confirmed their separation after less than five years of marriage in February 2024. “Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” Brittany explained in an episode of their podcast, When Reality Hits. “I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about and I’m taking things one day at a time.”

Now, the “Good as Gold” singer is sharing why she thinks that The Valley cast members’ separation is “for the best.”

Scheana Shay Reacts to Brittany Cartwright’s Split from Jax Taylor

While recently chatting with E! News, Scheana weighed in on Brittany’s decision to separate from Jax and move into a rental home.  “I think it’s for the best,” Scheana said before sharing why. “I think she deserves better, and she deserves a partner who’s going to treat her with respect.”

Though Scheana thinks that her friend “deserves better,” she did enjoy getting to reunite with both Jax and Brittany when she appeared on The Valley series premiere.

“It did just feel like old times,” she said about filming with Jax and Brittany again.

Scheana Shay Teases the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 Reunion

After Scheana got together with Jax and Brittany to film The Valley, she reunited with her fellow former SURvers to shoot the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion on March 16.

In the same interview, Scheana teased that fans can expect to see “something that’s never happened before.”

“I don’t know if you’ll be shocked by Lala [Kent], but she definitely says what I think a lot of people maybe think and don’t say out loud,” Scheana continued in her tease.

Until then, new episodes of Vanderpump Rules air on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo, followed by new episodes of The Valley, which air on Tuesdays at 9/8c. Stream both shows on Peacock.
